RHONDA & her daughters Ava & Georgie

Meet the women behind our latest campaign, all the mums, dog-mums, and mums-to-be, straight from Review HQ.

What’s your role at Review and how long have you worked for the brand?

I’m pleased to say that I worked at Review for 5 years. I design the fully fashion knitwear including knitted dresses, skirts, jackets.

What’s the most rewarding part of being a mum?

Using my imagination! Because I’m a big kid at heart, I enjoy revisiting the magic of childhood through their experiences. I also love being able to live in the moment. As someone who daydreams and lives in my thoughts, I love being a mum because it forces me to be present and live in the moment with them. This has made me a much happier person.

What is a life lesson you’ve been able to pass down to your kids?

Rising to any occasion. Motherhood is knowing joy and appreciating the small things in life, even while experiencing the hardest trials of life. I have learned to rise to any occasion and found myself lifted to new heights while stretching myself beyond all limits.

Tell us about a proud mum moment.

Watching and seeing my girls evolve into empathetic, kind human beings who can think for themselves. I’ve had the privilege of teaching my daughters self-love and self-respect at an early age.

What does an ideal day with your daughters look like?

I don’t work on Fridays so my time is spent with my youngest daughter, Georgie. Our Fridays generally consist of either visiting Melbourne Zoo, park hangs and going to the food market to buy crepes. Also, Ava walks home from school and I will make the girls’ favourite dish.

Do you have a family holiday destination you love and would recommend?

Prior to covid we would go to Bali and stay in a quaint seaside town called “Sanur”. It’s rather peaceful, quaint, and family orientated. Or more local, Bright has to be one of our all-time favorite holidays! We went a few years ago during Easter and we had the best time. The scenery is just so picturesque and reminded us of being in Europe.

What are your plans this Mother’s Day?

I usually get spoilt for Mother’s Day, I’m a bit of a foodie at heart and enjoy eating out, which is usually a treat as we tend to cook and eat at home. To be honest a good ole Sunday roast would be more than enough.

What are your wardrobe essentials as a busy mum?

During the winter months I have a thing for coats and shoes!! My work wardrobe tends to evolve with my mood and how I’m feeling on that day! On a more casual kind of day, it will consist of a heel, a stripe top, a shirt/blouse and a chunky knit paired back with high waisted jeans. The days when I’m ready for action, it will be a midi dress, ankle boot and a blazer- I do love a blazer!
