Review Fashion Blog
Welcome to my blog!
It’s my little e-world, a fashion forecast keeping you up-to-date with the freshest items to hit Review stores, and other exciting happenings.
I’ll also take you behind-the-scenes with some of Review’s fashion designers, for an insight into the mysterious process of how our clothes come into being. (Hint – they don’t simply come to us, fully-formed, in a dream.)
Stay tuned also for updates on trends as seen on the street, and those on the horizon…
And finally, anything I’ve spotted that’s inspiring me creatively which I want to share with you!

I spy...
The Avengers' Emma Peel was one of the most stylish female characters ever created, and remains a fashion icon today.
She was portrayed in the TV series by Diana Rigg, who managed to pull off a wardrobe full of catsuits & boots, plaid coats & Mary Janes, and matching skirts & jackets - all in an array of bold colours (including mustard, forest green, candy pink and royal blue) - with panache.
Mrs Peel also favoured roll neck skivvies and dresses - and wouldn't you know it, new to Review's Dressing Room is this roll neck tunic (Corded Polo Tunic, $89.95).
Coming in a soft grey the shade of overcast skies, it's slightly less bright than some of Emma's outfits, which makes it perfect for those of us who don't necessarily wish to look as if we just stepped straight out of the 60s!
Team it with your favourite high-heeled boots and a pair of tights for your own slice of Peel's dress sense.
Check out more Avengers style inspiration here - from jackets over dresses to vintage print dresses, it's all so now! (I wonder if Bowler hats will make a comeback for the men?!)

Sneak pREVIEW - Autumn 2008 trends
It may seem a little crazy to be thinking about winter clothing while the weather's still hot, but isn't that just the beauty of fashion? - always something to look forward to!
In that spirit, we present to you our Autumn 2008 Preview - 'must-have', super-hot items that will be appearing in Review stores between now and February. (They're worth the wait!)
The Review designers have also added their suggestions and tips for how to work these key winter trends.
Coming (very) soon…
Trends: Vintage dress, bomber jacket, chunky jewellery, oversized bag
Tailored Outfits Team a structured pair of trousers with a satin or chiffon blouse (rather than a crisp shirt) to tone down the sharp lines.
Vintage-inspired Dresses Bring a vintage dress into today by adding modern chunky jewellery or shoes, and an oversized bag. Or, to make your dress less dressy/add interest, layer a cardigan or vest over the top.
Bomber Jackets & Blazers These are great for softening the sexiness of a mini, or for turning a dress into a casually stylish daytime outfit. With a blazer, tuck a colourful scarf into the front - instant elegance!
Blouses Simply essential for layering! In our example we've added a waistcoat - chic and unconventional. It's simple to take this trend from work to play by swapping your trousers for jeans. Extra tip for trendsetters: Be inspired by how Claudia Schiffer recently layered the blouse
Boyfriend shirts (i.e. oversized business shirts that look like they come from your man's wardrobe!) Wear this as a shirt dress - cinch it in at the waist with a skinny brown leather belt (wear it long and looped), add black tights and high heels and voila!
Chunky/oversized knits Always striking worn with a pair of killer boots and tight jeans! The more daring may like to add a beret or headscarf to the mix.
Have fun experimenting and deciding on your favourite looks! And don't forget to head into your nearest Review store over the next few weeks.

Things I love: Fashion, art, beauty, music, shoes & cake!
A friend said to me the other day that she believes 'even' years bring good things - I hope that turns out to be true for all of you!
In that spirit, let's get into this year's first list of what’s inspiring or exciting me right now:
Suralini Fernando, winner of Review's New Year's Eve Competition. Suralini's prize for sending in a very glamorous photo of her NYE outfit is a $100 Review voucher - happy shopping! Check out the entries at Review's Facebook group
Beyonce's 'Upgrade You' video , in which she pretends to be Jay-Z. I can't believe I only just saw it, and I feel compelled to share it in case you missed it too
