Women Who Inspire Us | Meet Stacy
Meet Stacy. Growing up in Scotland and Australia it gave her a love for travel and she hopes to see more of the world with her amazing family. A lover of all things pretty, she now shares that with her beautiful daughter who has also developed a love for Review Kids - the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! From a young age, Stacy always wanted a job where she could help others and is now happily able to say that she gets to do that every day.
Stacy wears: Still In Love Dress
How does wearing Review make you feel?
It makes me feel beautiful, sexy and confident.
As someone who has suffered from body confidence since the age of 5, putting on Review clothes makes me feel pretty and that I can conquer the world.
I guess that is the way we should all feel every day.
What piece of advice would you give your past self?
Ignore the haters! I used to take everyone's comments seriously, which affected me.
After becoming a mum, you realise there's so much more to life than worrying about excess weight, a double chin or wrinkles.
Try not to worry about the way you look and focus on letting your personality shine through.
I'm 27 now and if I could go back a few years to tell myself that I would.
Who is a woman that inspires you?
I am inspired by so many different women.
In particular, women who have suffered from domestic violence.
I'm a survivor myself so I can appreciate what it takes to get through that and keep going.
Who is your style icon and why?
Marilyn Monroe. She wasn't stick thin, she had the boobs, she had a little bit of a belly, but she was the sexiest woman in the world and she just radiated that from her smile.
I try and radiate that same confidence as well.
I'm not stick thin, I've got the boobs and I just try and feel good about myself.
She loved herself and I guess that's what we all want at the end of the day, to be confident in the body we have.
What is something that sparks joy in your everyday life?
My family. I have a 3-year-old and viewing the world through her eyes is just beautiful.
She's innocent and can see the joy in everything.
Every morning I get dressed and she says, "mummy you look beautiful today" and she stands in the mirror and checks herself out and says, "I'm fabulous".
I want her to grow up with that confidence as that is something that I never had.
What is your go to motivational song or artist?
I love Pink!
Aside from her music, I love her confidence and how she doesn't care about what other people think.
I also love her as a parent and how she is raising her daughter to be herself and not care about what other people think.
If you could only pick 3 Review items to wear for the rest of the year, what would you pick?
I'd pick the Infatuation Dress - she is my favourite!
The dress makes me feel so sexy and glamorous and it is perfect for nights out and dinners.
Also the Fire Fly Dress - I love the way the dress sits on my body!
Finally, the Cherry Delight playsuit.
One of the first Review items I purchased because it gave me that "feel good" feeling, which makes it very special to me.
We aren't a fashion brand, we are a community - a community of love, respect, and empowerment.
#Reviewgirl is more than a hashtag, it's a way of life...
It's what we all live and breathe. Through good times and bad times we stand strong together.
