Meet Bec Cole, amazing fashion stylist and frequent Review collaborator. Read about her top tips and picks for this season!

How did you get into styling?

I started out in the Australian Film & TV industry and the series I was working on got cancelled….

luckily a friend of mine owned an advertising agency & suggested I style a few advertising campaigns….I’ve never looked back.

What/who inspires you?

That’s a hard question. I find so many things inspiring….art, music, people, costumes….colours, nature.

I was incredibly inspired and still am by my late grandmother. She had such style and poise, and a beautiful appreciation for beauty.

Do you have a style icon?

I have many style icons….people who have an ability to make something they wear their very own signature look.

I love old school glamour, women like Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly, Jane Birkin and Melbourne’s own Christine Barro.

 

What do you love most/find more rewarding?

Creating beautiful images and working alongside incredible teams to bring a creative concept to life.

What do you enjoy most about working with Review?

Aside from the incredible team; the designers through to the creative crew, working with styles that fit, flatter and evoke a feminine feeling.

Can you name a couple of your favourite campaigns you’ve worked on?

There have been so many! That’s a hard one…..I like to inject love and passion into every campaign and tell a story.

If I had to name one, The Collectables was definitely a dream concept to bring to life.

What are some upcoming trends you’re excited for?

I’m loving seeing more colour coming through. I think after the past few years, colour is bringing a little joy back into our day.

I also love the idea of making an occasion of what you wear every day!

Frock up! Although I know I’m talking to the converted when it comes to celebrating everyday in style.

Life’s too short to not embrace a little bit of glamour when we can, right?!

Whether that be virtually on zoom (for work or play), sashaying to the letterbox or strutting down the supermarket aisle … let’s celebrate life in style!

Who’s your fabulous accessory in your profile pic?

That would be Miss Lily Violet…..she’s a Blue Burmese and a total luv bug!

I do have a soft spot for felines. Actually, I’ve got a soft spot for animals full stop!
