How to Raise Awareness for Frocktober 2020
Frocktober is all about raising funds for the important work of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. OCRF’s mission is to develop an early detection test, as well as more personalised, targeted therapies to treat ovarian cancer. It is heartbreaking to know that in Australia one woman dies of ovarian cancer every eight hours. This is something that we here at Review and The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation want to help change (one frock at a time) and we are sure you do too. Frocktober empowers women across the country to express their fashionable flair through sharing pictures of their favourite frocks with a community of passionate women who are all about raising money for a good cause.

Understanding the Facts

64% of the community incorrectly believe that a Pap smear will detect ovarian cancer, which is not the case. The development of new tests is imperative for detection and diagnosis.
The number of women being diagnosed with ovarian cancer is increasing every year. It is projected that by 2030, 2200 women will be diagnosed per year. OCRF aims to save more and more lives every year.
49% of early detection research in Australia has been funded by the OCRF, thanks to the generosity of its supporters.
